Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation and Wolfson Children’s Hospital Partner to Help Prevent Childhood Obesity in Our Community

JAGUARS FOUNDATION AWARDS HONOR ROWS^® seats to more than 4,100 youth, parents, mentors and agency staff

honor of The Jacksonville Jaguars Booster Club!

Read the letter from Mrs. Delores Barr-Weaver.  The Jaguars Foundation will make a grant in the amount of $64,000, representing the total contributions made by the Boosters to the foundation.

The Jaguars Foundation seeks to leverage local, state, and national resources to serve economically and socially disadvantaged youth and families in greater Jacksonville. Other Foundation programs include Grant making to area non-profit agencies totaling more than $10.3 million since 1995; The Official Playbooks^®, an innovative program established in 1996 in partnership with public libraries to inspire young people to read; Straight Talk^™, designed to educate and reduce the incidence of teen pregnancy and the spread of AIDS and other sexuality transmitted infections through a strategic partnership with local media organizations; “What Moves U,” a youth anti-obesity initiative in partnership with Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the NFL and the American Heart Association; and the “Jaguars Don’t Smoke” youth anti-tobacco initiative established in partnership with The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to reduce smoking among youth.
