Fellow JJBC Members,
Can you smell it? Football season is right around the corner and will be here before we know it. The Jacksonville Jaguars Booster Club has been very active during the off-season and I would like to mention a few of our more recent events as well as some upcoming events that I am excited about.
On June 6, we held our annual meeting and had a great turnout. At that meeting Mr. and Mrs. Weaver presented us with a large framed print containing our new logo. You can see it when you stop by the office. A print like this is also on display in the activity room dedicated to the JJBC at the NFL-YET Center. I would like to thank them for this gift.
At this same meeting we elected new officers for the upcoming year. I have the privilege to serve as President, Dan Erlandson will be your Vice President and Andrea Goodwin will serve as Secretary and Treasurer for the next year.
At the end of June we had a private tour of the stadium, the tour was limited to 60 members. We had a great response with more than 60 members signing up and ended up with a waiting list. We will schedule this again next year and give first priority to those that did not take the tour this year.
Training Camp is scheduled for July 26th through August 6th, the booster club will have a table set up at camp. Stop by and say hello, we will have shirts with the new logo available for sale.
The Booster Club will be unfurling the flag at most of the home games this year. If you would like an opportunity to be on the field and be part of the excitement be sure that your name is on the volunteer list. All members that participate will be required to wear a black shirt with the new club logo on it, so if you don’t have a shirt be sure to pick one up. Shirts are available at the office, at Training Camp and most social events and can be ordered online.
Our Holiday Party and Silent Auction will be at the Orange Park Kennel Club this year…look for more information to come on this event.
We are looking for members to volunteer for our various committees. These committees are the heart of our club and directly related to the success of the club. Contact the office for more information.
Our relationship with the Jaguars continues to be strong and our year to come promises to be a great one.
