Volunteers needed for the Clara White Mission: The booster club helps serve lunch at the Clara White Mission, 613 W. Ashley St. in downtown Jacksonville from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm the second Tuesday of each month. We need six (6) volunteers each time. If you are interested in helping or for more information, please call Karen Teachey, 422-8299, email volunteers@jagfan.com or call the JJBC office 721-5530 to put your name on the list. If we have enough volunteers, we could do this more than once a month. Sometimes you might work with Jaguars players as they volunteer at the Clara White Mission.
Volunteers Needed for Player Charities: We are working on a new volunteer list for upcoming player charity events. We have several events coming up and we would like to call on you to work. Unless you have called or emailed us recently please call the JJBC office at 721-5530 or e-mail playercharities@jagfan.com with your name, address, phone number and correct email address (e-mail is the fastest and preferred way to contact you as sometimes we have only a short turn around time to respond with volunteers). Watch the newspaper, website and your e-mail for information on these future events.
Volunteer to Carry & Unfurl the American Flags at Home Games
This year The Booster Club will be in charge of taking two (2) American Flags out on the field for the pre game National Anthem. We need to maintain a list of volunteers to contact. For each game we will need about sixty (60) volunteers to carry the flags on the field, unfurl them and than carry them back off the field.
New Requirements:
Must be no younger than 14 and accompanied by an adult if minor
Must be physically able to do their part
As for the physical requirements you do not have to lift much weight but you will have to be able to stand for approximately 30 minutes, walk on and off the field at a brisk pace. We will have a practice some time before the first game and it is encouraged that everyone attends this practice. There will also be a practice before one (1) home game.
